Second City Salvage is offering today this antique c1904 semi-flush mount light that came to me pretty much bare and painted. Once stripped, I found this great patina on the brass underneath. I paired the fitter with his old c1904 Holophane Pagoda shade that really throws out a ton of light and looks so great with an Edison bulb (shown, but not included). The shade is stamped “Pagoda” (barely legible) so is the real deal. There are no chips that I could find on the glass, but just a couple of “bubbles” that occurred during manufacture. It is in what I consider to be mint condition. A perfect light for a smaller space, especially if you are a tall person with a low ceiling! It measures a very generous 11 1/4″ dia x and will drop 7″ from the ceiling once installed. Add about 2 1/2″ to the drop to the tip of the pull chain. The canopy is 4 1/2″dia x 3 1/2″h and has a 2 1/4″ fitter and the shade itself is 11 1/4″dia x 4″h. It accepts a standard base bulb, will come to you with updated wiring and a new pull chain socket, will be tested, and I’ll include a modern cross bar for install.
