Second City Salvage is offering today this c1930 semi-flush mount ceiling light with a period wheel cut, frosted and decoratively etched globe shade. Fully restored, the cast iron fitter has been painted a satin black and has been rewired with a new socket and modern bracket needed for installation. Overall measurement is 5″ w and the light will drop 7″ from the ceiling once installed. Shade itself is 5″ dia x 6″h and has a 3 1/4″ fitter. There is some roughness and a chip around the fitter that disappears once the shade is set on the fitter. The fitter/canopy is 5 1/2″ dia. x 1 1/2″h. Perfect little light for a smaller space with a low ceiling. Like Holophanes, these wheel cut shades throw out a ton of light so even if your space is dark, it won’t be for long.
