Second City Salvage is offering today this great Art Deco c1930 cast aluminum bare bulb flushmount light by E.N. Riddle Co. It measures 7″ dia. (point to point) x 4 ¼”h (add 2″ for bulb shown, but not included). The casting on this piece is very intricate and it’s in what I would consider to be mint condition. A lovely representation of the Art Deco period. It will come to you with updated wiring and a modern bracket needed for install. It is marked on the back R.L.F. Co. Patent 1030.
A little history on Riddle:
The Edward N. Riddle Company (based in Toledo, Ohio) was one of the most prolific and famous American manufacturers of residential lighting during the 1920s and 1930s. They are highly celebrated today in the antique community for their distinct contribution to the Art Deco and Art Nouveau transition eras. Riddle was a pioneer in using cast aluminum and cast iron to create affordable, highly detailed fixtures.
