Second City Salvage is offering today this fabulous brass sconce c1900 with a hexagon uranium glass shade. The shade glows blue/green when hit with a 395 light. Pictures also show lit with a standard base LED bulb. Overall measurement is 5″w x 9 ½”h and will project 9″ from the wall once installed. Shade is uranium slag glass and in mint condition – it measures 5″w x 4″h and has a 2 ¼” fitter. Slag glass, a type of colored glass often mixed with white to create streaks, is commonly used in these designs. Based on my research, I believe the shade was manufactured by Pittsburgh Glass & Lamp. It bears a mark of “R.” Canopy is 4 ½” dia. x 3″h. Shade holder is stamped with a patent date of Dec 9 ’90. This sconce has been fully restored and will come to you with a new paddle switch socket, updated wiring and a bracket needed for install. It accepts a standard base bulb.
