Second City Salvage is offering today this fantastic antique c1904 solid brass 4-light chandelier that has been completely restored. All components are original, however it is not marked. We paired this light with period etched classic Arts & Crafts shades that are in great shape with no major chips or cracks. There are, however, some rough edges to the corners. These flaws are not notable, but I have to mention and difficult to capture in photos. Overall, the light measures 21 1/2″w and will drop 31″ to the bottom edge of the shades once installed. The down rod is 17 1/2″ long and the drop can be shortened for an additional cost. The two-piece canopy is 4 ½” square x 4″h and has a small notch on one side. The shades themselves are 4″ square x 4″h and have 2 ¼” fitters. All parts are original and the Hubbell shade holders are stamped with a patent date of Feb 23 ’04. This piece was lacquered when received so has been stripped down to bare brass and has only been lightly cleaned. The brass will darken over time. There are also a few age consistent dings to one arm. The light accepts four standard base bulbs, has received updated wiring, has been tested and will include a modern cross bar needed for installation. A beautiful representation of the Arts & Crafts era!
