Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this old porcelain Art Deco wall sconce from the 1920s with an embossed milk glass shade. The wall plate/fitter is in excellent condition and is free of chips or crazing, but there is a very fine hairline crack that does not affect the integrity of the light. It was probably manufactured by Porcelier, but it is unmarked. The shade also remains undamaged. Overall, it measures 5 1/2″w x 7″h and will project 8″ from the wall once installed. The shade is 4″ w x 5 1/4″d and has a 2 1/4″ fitter. It has the new socket and pull chain switch. What I love about this light is the small nickel encased night light that is connected and controlled by the turn switch on the bottom. That’s what makes it so rare. The outlets have been bypassed. It accepts a standard base bulb and will come to you with updated wiring and a modern cross bar needed for installation.
