Second City Salvage is offering today this super cool pendant with a Holophane dental/stalagmite (or bee’s butt) shade which is more rare than common. All of the components of this light retain the original patina. The shade holder has some remnants of black paint that we elected to leave alone, giving it a more primitive/industrial vibe. It has only been lightly cleaned. Overall, it measures 5 1/2″w and it will drop 23″ from the ceiling once installed. The shade itself is 5 1/2″w x 5 1/2″h and has a 4″ fitter. It is in exceptional condition, but there are a few nicks which are consistent with the age of the shade. Not noticeable unless scrutinized up close and I did my best to capture these flaws. The great thing about these shades is that you can use a lower wattage bulb because they throw out a ton of light. The chain is 9″ long and the canopy measures 4 1/2″dia. x 3″h. Recommend using a LED bulb since the shade does have to be removed for a bulb change and those last a LONG time. It accepts a standard base bulb, will come to you with a new socket, period correct cloth wiring, will be tested and ready to install.
