Second City Salvage is offering today this old c1905 craftsman style brass tulip beam light with a Holophane style shade. The base of the light measures 3 1/8″ dia x 4″h with a 2 ¼” shade holder. The shade is a ruffled period Holophane style shade that is not marked that is 6 ¼” dia x 4 ½”h. The shade does have a few very tiny flea bite chips which are consistent with age and are not notable, but I have to mention. Overall drop for the light once installed is 8″. This light is meant for installation on a wood beam so will not cover a junction box. The easy fix is to have a 5″ x 5″ brass plate cut on which to mount this light to. The canopy and socket have aged to a patina that only time can provide. This light will come to you with updated wiring, ready to install.
