Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this pair of sconces that were salvaged from a c1927 home in south Minneapolis recently that was going through a remodel. These were original to this tudor revival home. The frames of these sconces are cast aluminum and hammered. The original finish and patina remain and they have only been lightly cleaned. They are marked “MEP Design Pat Applied For” on the back of the wall plate. (MEP stands for Markel Electrical Products which was a manufacturer of lighting back in the early part of the 20th century). Each sconce measures 6 1/2″w x 11″h to the tip of the bulb shown and will project 4 1/4″ from the wall once installed – back plate measures 4″w x 10″h. Flame bulbs shown not included. They accept standard base bulbs and will come to you tested with updated wiring and a modern cross bar needed for installation. I have two pairs of these sconces and am offering them as a pair separately so price is per pair. A fabulous representation of 1920s Tudor Revival lighting!
