Second City Salvage is offering today this one-of-a-kind antique lantern pendant that dates to the 1920s in exceptional condition. The frame is brass with original polychrome accents in excellent condition with no loss of color that I could find. The glass is amber in color and is what I would call a cat’s paw textured pattern and original in mint condition with no cracks or other condition issues. Keyless socket is original and has been restored. Chain and canopy are both brass and the canopy has polychrome accents as well. The body of the lantern measures 9″ w x 3 3/4″ w x 10″ h. Chain is 9″ long and it will drop 27″ from the ceiling once installed. Canopy is 5″ dia. x 4″ h. The light accepts a standard base bulb, has been tested and will come to you with updated period correct cloth wiring and a modern crossbar needed for install. A very unique lantern that will make a bold statement wherever it is installed. A lovely, lovely piece for sure!
