Second City Salvage is offering today this nickel plated cast brass soap dish holder by JL Mott c1908. The porcelain dish is a reproduction and sits nicely in the frame. Original porcelain soap dishes are rare to have survived 100 years. The nickel plating on the frame is in excellent original condition with no loss of finish, just a bit dull and that is consistent with age and use. I think it cleaned up nicely. It measures 5 1/2″w and will project 5″ from the wall once installed, wall plate is 2 ¼” dia. A rare piece of JL Mott bathroom jewelry and one that will last another 100 years!
