Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this heavy nickel plated cast brass tumbler or cup holder/soap dish combo by JL Mott Iron Works NY that dates to the early 20th century probably around c1905. It is clearly marked “MOTT” on the wall plate connector piece and measures 5 ¼”w x 7 ¾”h and will project from the wall once installed. It was painted when I received it so I stripped it down and this is the finish we found underneath. It cleaned up well, however there is a significant bit of loss to the nickel plating (see photos). Cost to replate in polished nickel is $150 additional and add 4 weeks to the shipping time. As it sits right now, I think it would be a lovely addition to your vintage bathroom because of its original and raw aesthetic.
Second City Salvage carefully packages and ships your item fully insured to the lower 48 states for FREE. Please contact us for a shipping quote to locations outside the Continental U.S.
