Second City Salvage is offering today this antique c1905 10″ wall mount large towel or robe hook. Someone told me that this also may have come off a Pullman car and was used in a closet to hang clothes hangers on which makes total sense to me. It is heavy and substantial. Would be a great accessory in a closet in my opinion or in a bathroom or bedroom to hang towels/robes on or a nice period touch in a kitchen to hang your dish cloths on. In any case, it’s in great shape with no loss to the nickel plating. It is not marked, but could have been made by any one of the companies that made the higher end bathroom hardware pieces such as The Brasscrafters, Art Brass Co. NY/San-O-La, Silvers Brooklyn, Sternau, etc. Not all pieces were marked as such. These are priced INDIVIDUALLY, but I will offer a discount if both are purchased by the same buyer.
