Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this smaller antique towel bar that dates to the early 20th century, probably around 1910. The clear glass bar is 7/8″ dia. and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage as are the cast brass nickel plated ends. Plating is in great shape and is original with very little loss to the finish, but the nickel is exceptional overall. This bar measures overall 14 1/2″ long and the bar area is 11 1/4″, and will project 3 1/4″ from the wall once installed. It is perfect for a smaller space and would be great for hand towels! It is not marked with a manufacturer, but not all makers of bathroom accessories marked their pieces. It could be Art Brass, Brasscrafters, San-O-La, Wolff, Mott, Silvers, Wolverine, etc. What is nice is that the ends are heavy and substantial and the glass bar is in mint condition. When you are ready to install this piece, I suggest putting a dab of caulk into the ends to keep the bar from rattling around. A great accent for your vintage bathroom!
