Description
Second City Salvage is thrilled to offer this Victorian/Aesthetic era transom window salvaged from an Eau Claire, WI residence a few years back. It has been restored from head to toe, but remains in the original wood frame that has been repaired. It features original ripple glass in shades of green, turquoise, amber and crimson roundels and the jewel colors of the glass remain vibrant. It literally glows when the light hits it. Weak joints have been resoldered, a few minor cracks have been covered with lead overlays and the lead caming remains strong. Overall in the frame measurement is 40″w x 23″h and the measurement for the glass only is roughly 36″w x 19″h. I have another one from the same house listed that would be a great pair to this one. Buy the two together and I will offer a discount. A fabulous representation of the Victorian/Aesthetic era!
