Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this large scale Victorian stained glass transom window salvaged from an c1890 residence in the Twin Cities and is in its original state. The glass itself is a lovely and colorful design in excellent condition! No major cracks, but a very fine hairline that was difficult to capture in a photo that we elected to leave alone. There is some bowing present, but again, inconsequential, and if you are going to display or install this up high, you will never see that. Probably around $400-500 to have that corrected as it would have to come completely out of the frame and be made flat then reinstalled into the frame. It could be displayed either horizontally or vertically. The best part of this transom are the jewels! There are 12 in total and a blown glass center piece. This piece has also been put into a frame that is ready to install into an exterior wall with a Thermopane piece of glass (or storm window) protecting it on the exterior. The frame is painted and 5″ in thickness. Overall in the frame measurement is 57 ½”w x 19 ½”h. The original frame is 54 1/2″w x 14 1/2″h and measurement for the glass only is 51 1/2″w x 11 1/2″h. A show stopper for sure and just what your grand Victorian lady is waiting for.
