Second City Salvage is offering today this pair of large scale Victorian cast iron sink/shelf brackets. Casting is ornate and each one is stamped SM Co. (Standard Manufacturing Co.). I had these in my kitchen holding up a shelf for the microwave that is no longer needed due to a remodel. They differ very slightly in size and it’s funny because all of these years I had them installed, I never noticed the size difference. One is 13 ½” x 15 ½” and the other one is 13 ½” x 14 ½” (1″ off on either the height or projection). In any case, they are heavy and substantial and each one weighs 4 1/4″ lbs. They have been completely stripped of all paint (many layers). A great accent for your vintage inspired home!
