Second City Salvage is offering today this over-the-rim soap holder for a claw foot tub that dates to the 1920s or earlier. It is fabricated of nickel plated brass and has a manufacturer’s mark (last photo), but we are not sure whose mark it is. The plating is original and in reasonably good shape, but some brass is showing through in parts on the soap holder. Overall, great shape for a piece of this age – it polished up nicely. Overall, it measures 6 1/4″w x 4 1/2″h and will project 3 1/2″ from the rim of the tub once hung. Soap holder itself is 6 ¼”w x 3 3/8″w x 1 ¼”d. A great period piece for your vintage inspired bathroom.
