Second City Salvage is offering today this cast bronze push plate that dates to the 1930s and is the Modern or MM pattern by Sargent & Co., New Haven, CT. See last photo for the 1936 Sargent catalog page showing this piece. There are a few dings that are consistent with age and every day use, but overall in excellent shape. It measures 3″w x 16 3/6″h and has nice stream lined Art Deco design along the edges. A lovely piece and a great way to dress up that boring door!
