Description
This is a rare vintage green glass Exit sconce/ceiling light on a chrome flush mount fitter c1930s. It measures 5″w and will project 7 1/2″ from the surface once installed. The shade itself is 5″dia. x 6 1/4″h with a 3 1/4″ fitter. The canopy/fitter is 5 ½” dia. x 1 ½”h. There is some minor corrosion to the chrome that is shown in the last two photos. It polished up nicely and this is not really noticable unless scrutinized up close. The globe is in excellent condition with no chips, however when it is lit, there are a few surface scratches that show up that I have noted in the photos. It is unmarked, and there are several lighting manufacturers from the early 20th century that made these. This light accepts a standard base bulb, socket has been restored, has received updated wiring (outlet bypassed) and will come to you with a modern bracket needed for install. Best application in my opinion would be centered over a doorway since the lettering is at the top of the globe. Bonus is that the pull chain is operational! This piece will light up your way out for years to come and would be a perfect light for a man cave!
