Second City Salvage is offering today this fantastic antique c1910 solid cast brass 3-light chandelier that has been completely restored. We paired this light with period prismatic Magian glass shades that are in mint condition (shades are marked “MAGIAN PATENTED AUG 6 1907″). It measures 18″w (point to point) and will drop 27 1/4″ to the bottom edge of the shades once installed. The canopy is 5″ dia. x 4″h and the shades themselves are 6 1/2″dia x 4″h and have 2 ¼” fitters. All parts are original and the shade holders are stamped with a patent date of June 27 ’05. This piece was lacquered when received so has been stripped down to bare brass and has only been lightly cleaned. The brass will darken over time. There is a small repair on one of the pieces that attaches to an arm (last photo) that does not at all affect the integrity of the piece. The light accepts three standard base bulbs, has received updated gold cloth wiring, has been tested and we will include a modern cross bar needed for installation. A very unique piece and will most definitely make a statement wherever you choose to install.
