Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this monumental c1870 Aesthetic/Victorian Era in the Crazy Quilt pattern landing window salvaged from a Stillwater, MN home facing demolition. We were thrilled to save it from an untimely demise! It is comprised completely of colored ripple stained glass in a crazy quilt pattern that is completely obscured. When the light hits it, it literally glows. The colors are absolutely incredible! Would be great hung in a large window or perfect for a room divider in a bigger space. A lovely representation of the Victorian era and one not to be missed. It measures a very generous 42″w x 53″h and the frame is 1 ¼” thick. The measurement for the glass only is 35 1/2″w x 48″h. Frame is painted and original and lead caming remains strong – there are two rebars on the exterior side reinforcing the glass. One small tight hairline crack is all I could find as noted should be left alone (last photo). It is incredible that this piece is in the condition it is in considering its age.
