Second City Salvage is offering today this c1930 Art Deco slip shade sconce by Markel that has the original polychrome painted finish. Some of the paint on the cast iron frame has chipped away, but most of it is there and I think that adds to its vintage charm. The shade itself is original and is in excellent condition with only one small chip to the bottom inside of the fitter that is not visible once placed on the frame. It measures 5 ¼”w x 13″h and will project 4″ from the wall once installed. It accepts a standard base bulb, will come to you with a new socket, updated wiring, a new brass turn switch that is fully operational and a modern cross bar needed for installation.
