Second City Salvage is offering today this cute little over-the-rim claw foot tub soap or sponge holder that dates to around 1905. It was manufactured by Art Brass Co NY, but it not marked. The soap holder itself has a fancy cut out that tells me it is Art Brass. It is constructed of nickel plated brass and the plating is in excellent condition with little or no loss except for the bottom of the dish which is consistent with age. I did my best to capture this in the photos. Overall measurement is 6 1/4″w x 4″h x 7″ projection and will fit right over the rim of your claw foot tub. Dish will project 4″ over the rim of the tub and the dish itself is 6″w x 4 1/2″w. A great period addition to your vintage bathroom!
