Second City Salvage is offering today this lovely wall sconce from the Victorian era c1890s/1900 that has been fully restored. It was painted when received and looks like it was copper plated, but most of that has worn and the old brass is showing through. It has only been lightly cleaned and the patina that is left is wonderful! The two-part canopy is embossed with a fleur de lis pattern and two cast leaves adorn the arm. The shade is ruffled opal glass in mint condition. Overall, it measures 8″ w x 10″h and will project 14″ from the wall once installed. The canopy is 4 1/2″ diameter x 3″h and the shade itself is 8″ dia x 1 1/2″h and has a 2 1/4″fitter. It accepts a standard base bulb (pair with an Edison bulb as shown, but not included, for a great vintage look), will come to you with updated wiring and a modern cross bar needed for installation. A grand addition to your Victorian home!
