Description

Second City Salvage is thrilled to offer this rare pair of bare bulb Vitrified Pottery sconces by Franklin Pottery that date to the 1920s. These were a part of a Duluth, MN salvage. One is in mint condition and the other one has a chip near the back of the socket holder, but is pretty much hidden when viewed from the front. In other words, one really has to “look” for the chip (last photo). I call it a character adding bonus. C’mon people… These are over 100 years old. They measure 4 1/4″w x 7 1/2″h (9 1/2″h to the tip of the bulb – not included) and will project 4 1/2″ from the wall once installed. One has a “convenience” outlet which is not connected. Original pull chain sockets have been restored. The blue trim on the shield shaped backplates is a great accent to these and is what makes them so special. Perfect for a kitchen or bathroom on either side of a medicine cabinet. These sconces will come to you with updated wiring and the brackets needed for mounting and will be ready to install. I have also included three photos that shows pages from the 1931 Franklin Pottery Lighting catalog showing the sconces. Price is for the pair. We will not separate these.

Second City Salvage carefully packages and ships your item fully insured to the lower 48 states for FREE. Please contact us for a shipping quote to locations outside the Continental U.S.
