Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this pair of antique towel bars that date to the early 20th century, probably around 1910. Milk glass bars are 7/8″ dia. and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage as are the cast brass nickel plated ends. Plating is in great shape and is original with very little loss to the finish, but the nickel is exceptional overall. These measure 25 1/4″ long and the bar area is a generous 22″, and they will project 3 1/4″ from the wall once installed. These are not marked with a manufacturer, but not all makers of bathroom accessories marked their pieces. These could be Art Brass, Brasscrafters, San-O-La, Wolff, Mott, Silvers, Wolverine, etc. What is nice is that the ends are heavy and substantial and the milk glass bars are in mint condition. When you are ready to install these, I suggest putting a dab of caulk into the ends to keep them from rattling around. Great accents for your vintage bathroom! They are priced for the pair and I would like to keep them together.
