Second City Salvage is today offering this mid-century industrial ceiling mount light fixture c1940s that has an explosion proof ¼” thick glass globe with cage and was manufactured by Appleton Electric, Chicago, IL USA. The husk of the light is galvanized steel, the fitter anodized aluminum and the base that mounts to the ceiling (either to a celing joist or with anchor bolts). It is extremely heavy, weighing in at 15 lbs. 200w to max of 300w and measures 8″w x 16″h. The explosion proof globe is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Great industrial vibe addition to your space! Could also be wired to be used as a table lamp. It accepts a standard base bulb and looks to have the original porcelain socket. The wiring has not been updated and it is being sold as is/as shown.
