Description
This is an antique Moritz Zdekauer Austria (MZ Austria) Serpent-Handled Tankard/Mug. It is hand painted/decorated with a floral decoration and the serpent handle is painted in 24K gold leaf. There is no paint loss on the handle or on the mug itself. This piece is in what I would consider to be mint condition as there are no chips, cracks or repairs. However, there are some very minor surface scratches and wear on the bottom that is consistent with age. It measures 5 ¼” dia. x 6 ¼”h including the handle. The bottom is marked as shown in the photo, however it is not signed.
